This list contains information pertaining to heads of state and governments in Kaiserreich: Legacy of the Weltkrieg as of the in-game starting date of 1 January 1936. Some information may correspond to future reworks and is subject to change. As a result, some aspects of the table below may not reflect the in-game situation that well. Further improvements/changes/additions are always welcome.
The list is up-to-date as of patch KR4 v1.0.4 This article is divided into six different sections:
Nominally Sovereign Nations are those countries whose governments see themselves, at least on paper, as independent and legitimate in front of the international community.
German Colonial Administrations are, as the name implies, administrative units of the German Colonial Empire and therefore subordinated to the German Colonial Office and devoid of any true government of their own.
Constituent Parts of the Dual Monarchy are the realms that form the Austro-Hungarian Empire; not all of them have the same degree of autonomy though, as the Habsburg Monarchy still maintains the nominal split of the Empire into Cisleithania and Transleithania.
Formal Vassals of the Ottoman Empire are the emirates that swore their fealty to the Sublime Porte prior to, during or after the Weltkrieg. Not all of them can be found on the actual in-game map, however, as the Empire also maintains protectorates in Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait and the Trucial Sheikhdoms. All of these formal vassals would be portrayed as de jure Ottoman territory on in-lore world maps, with an exception being maybe Central Arabia.
Chinese Warlord Cliques are de facto self-governing provincial military administrations within the highly fragmented and decentralized Qing Empire.
All other non-sovereign entities present on the map in 1936 are listed in their own section.
Note: Microstates such as San Marino are not listed, and do not appear on the map ingame. further information about them can be found here.
